Who we are
Our website address is: https://maps.lima-labs.com. We are owned by CircleNet LLC, a Virginia corporation.
At CircleNet LLC we take your privacy and anonymity seriously. We only collect the personal information that is necessary to provide you with our services, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone else. We aren’t in this to make money on data, we just like maps.
Information that you give us
Registration
When you register with us we store your name, postal address and email address. This is so that we can contact you later if there are changes to our service, and to provide you with information about your account and system changes. We also store the IP address that you register with for 1 year, to prevent abuse.
Financial Information
If you become a paying customer, we pass your customer number to Stripe.com. You provide your payment card information to our payment partner (Stripe) and we do not store the card number or any data ourselves. Please refer to Stripe’s privacy policy for information on their policy.
We may your account number and if required for tax purposes other information with our accountants (Currently Beacon Accounting group) and the US taxing authorities in order to comply with tax and accounting laws.
Information that we collect from you as you use the service:
We do store a list of tiles served to each customer for 180 days. This is part of our webserver’s logging and is designed to detect abuse and allow for proper accounting. After 180 days we purge the customer identifying API data but retain a list of tiles served. This helps us chart our progress. We may do bulk analysis of this data without your customer ID/API keys included to determine which areas of the world are most in need of re-rendering based on queries.
Services
Our services are self hosted in the US and Europe. Our edge servers are hosted by Joe’s Data Center LLC, OVH.COM, Vultr and Hetzner globaly we may add new providers from time to time. Whichever node is closest to your location will typically be the node that servers your request. When you send us an API request we log details of the request and send you the tile in response. We store this information as mentioned above for later analysis to improve the services that we provide. This data is ALL stored in the US, data on non-US based servers typically rotates every 12-24 hours.

We use the personal information that we collect in order to:
Provide the services that you have requested
Prevent fraud and abuse of our services
Perform our required accounting and tax processes
Perform internal business analysis
We do not sell or rent your data to anyone else.
Summary of disclosure of your information
We disclose certain information to our specified business partners, as described in this policy for accounting and compliance purposes. We may have a legal duty to share your information with tax or financial authorities, or if otherwise required by law or Court Order.
Protection of your information
We make every effort to ensure that your information is secure. We do so by using industry-standard security practices, including using TLS for all personal information, and by ensuring that our software and operating systems are secure and regularly updated.
Data Accuracy and Deletion
If you want to remove your personal information from our systems, you can close your account by emailing maps@lima-labs.com. We may retain a copy of your account information for up to 30 days after you close your account, to provide customer support and to prevent abuse.
For free accounts that are no longer active, we will delete your account after 36 months of inactivity (not having logged in, and not having made any API requests).
For paying customers, we will still keep records of all completed transactions for tax and accounting purposes.
